For experiments, In2Care uses a diverse variety of scientific materials and set-ups. We have the expertise and possibilities to perform insect behaviour experiments (such as windtunnel experiments for testing attractants), bioassays (for testing novel insecticides and biological control agents), repellency studies (for testing insect repellents) and bloodfeeding and oviposition experiments.
We have several out-house facilities to accommodate clinical and diagnostic studies.
For (semi)field experiments, we have a range of partner institutes in developing countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, Benin, Brazil, Aruba and Thailand, where field test can be performed in close collaboration. Through collaborations with colleagues in disease-endemic countries we can include validation and optimisation research on-site and achieve insect control at places where it is needed the most.
